The terms “Advocate” and “Lawyer” are often used interchangeably, but they have slightly different meanings.
An advocate is a legal professional who has been admitted to the Bar Council and is entitled to practice law in the courts of India. To become an advocate, one must have completed a law degree and passed the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) conducted by the Bar Council of India.
A lawyer, on the other hand, is a general term that can refer to anyone who has studied law and can provide legal advice. This can include advocates, solicitors, legal advisors.
