Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high-speed train service in India, also known as Train 18. It is designed and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, and is the first indigenous train to run at a maximum speed of 180 km/h. The train was inaugurated on 15 February 2019 and runs between New Delhi and Varanasi.
The Vande Bharat Express is equipped with state-of-the-art features like automatic doors, WiFi, GPS-based passenger information system, and CCTV cameras for enhanced security. The train is also equipped with a regenerative braking system, which helps to save energy and reduce carbon emissions.
The train has 16 coaches, including two executive class coaches and 14 chair car coaches. The executive class coaches have 52 seats, while the chair car coaches have 78 seats. The seats in the train are comfortable and have ample legroom and storage space.
The Vande Bharat Express has improved the travel experience for passengers between New Delhi and Varanasi. It reduces the travel time between the two cities by almost 40%, as compared to other trains on the same route. The train has been a major success and has received positive feedback from passengers for its speed, comfort, and modern amenities.

Its top speed is 180 kmph, while the operational speed is 130 kmph.
